Seed to the Sower
About a year and a half ago, Hariya asked us for a bike. It was on his heart to travel further to evangelise in his rural India.
We were in the midst of preparing for a move from Florida to Texas, but we decided that we would provide this need by faith. We sent an amount that was put on our heart in prayer and went on with our busy life.
Some time passed, then we received in the mail a picture of the MOTORCYCLE that Hariya had purchased, with a copy of the balance remaining after putting our gift down as a down payment.
Oh dear. That language barrier thing is interesting at times.
Well, the payments needed were in three installments, which were way over our head, with interest, or one payment without interest. There was no way we could meet this need, and we told no one else.
Jeff will have to tell me when, but it was very soon after that a fellow teacher of Jeffs’ gave him a check. All he said was that it was “seed to the sower”. It was exactly the amount needed to pay for the “bike” without interest.
Praise the Lord.
Why do I doubt? Why do I worry? Don’t I believe that God wants those people to hear of what Jesus did for them on the cross and all that means for them?
Thank You, God. And thank You for letting us be a part though we don’t deserve it.
